NEWS: YOTIFY ALERTS
October 23rd, 2008
Yotify is a quite new service - it was launched last month - that scans the web for us and provides us information we want. It works simmilar to alerts, but is more advanced. It is a combination of vertical and horizontal search, first we choose cateogry we want to scout on, like news, shopping, tickets, housing etc., and than we can type the search phrase. We are able to mark also more detailed options in particular categories, like “show only housing ads with photos” or “let me know when iPod price get under XXX$”. You can also set the frequency of receiving the scouts (that’s how alerts do name in this service).
It is also different to other alert services on the social field. Thanks to Yotify you can share your scouts with your friends. You can also ask them for a recommendation concerning particular scout by Facebook or other social service.
You can watch video presentation here.
